Sunday started with a scrumptious brunch featuring mascarpone stuffed french toast with blackberries, gluten-free banana bread, a veggie frittata and champagne. The crowd favorite was the french toast, which came from Williams Sonoma's brunch cookbook. Anyone who loves brunch must have this cookbook.
Later that evening, our brother-in-law, Brian, prepared a feast for dinner. He prepared a loin of lamb, steamed asparagus, string beans and sweet potatoes. Brian is a wine connoisseur and paired the meal with a delicious burgundy wine. For dessert, we purchased three delicious mini cakes for the three mothers. The cakes all had different flavor profiles: chocolate mousse, mango mousse and strawberry shortcake. The mango mousse was a big hit and Archana plans to recreate this treat at our next dinner party.
We also wanted to share this beautiful tribute to all the moms out there from our friend, Ingrid Skousgard. Watch for the cutest little surprise star at the end!
